Saturday we went to the local hospital for their Airlife Santa Celebration. We arrived just in time to see Santa fly in by helicopter. Ryan didn’t even cry as the helicopter came right over the top of us and blew dust everywhere. It was really neat! We were going to have Ryan take his picture with Santa but after two hours of waiting we gave up. The hospital was organized in that everyone received a ticket to see Santa. Then, they would call your group when your time was up. In the meantime you could walk around and make cookies, go skating and ride a tractor train. The kids could also tour a fire engine and police car. They had tons of fun activities and booths. Ryan was able to pet all the puppies and loved being licked by them. I will definitely go next year. The lesson I learned though is that you have to show up an hour early to get your ticket to see Santa. That way you don’t have to wait so long. I was sad that we didn’t get Ryan’s picture but seeing Santa land in a helicopter made it all worth it.
